Last night the Delaware County Council revealed that they plan on fighting the Marple Township Commissioner’s plans to rezone “Delco Woods” previously known as Don Guanella at the April 15th Marple Board of Commissioners Meeting.
You can see video of that:
As revealed last night via my right to know request that can be seen HERE, the county has already had their lawyers submit Certificates of Occupancy and Use to Marple Township. I have it on good word that the County will be sending their lawyers to the meeting so it is best we get as many Marple Township residents to thus meeting as possible to tell them NOT IN OUR TOWN.
But that’s not where the odd behaviors of this County Council and their ever clearer agenda end.
It started with a strange comment by Council Member Kevin Madden:
Then came the Questions by me and 1/3 Answer by Christine Reuther:
Why can’t they answer the questions about creating legislation to prevent this from happening? Does the county really not own the area described by Councilwoman Reuther? I’d disagree their own map they published shows they 92! All the way to the blue route wall where they’ve cleared at least 3+ acres recently.

So what did the other council members have to say? Well check out their 14+ minute performance here:
I’d say that’s a ton of Gaslighting and deflection but you decide for yourself.
When asked after the meeting why they can not create legislation Council Member Kevin Madden told myself and a group of other concerned citizens the following:
It would be like legislating against allowing residents to own 5 legged hippopotamuses, it’s so absurd of an idea it’s not needed. Really this is a lightning rod issue and we don’t need to do this.
There you have it people, they cant legislate it because they claim to think it is absurd.
In reality you gotta ask yourself does the Goal Post Moving, the behavior, odd statements and rousing speeches by this council make you feel like they won’t eventually push for illegal immigrants at Don Guanella? That they won’t allow for centers to be opened at the former Springfield and Delco hospitals?(Btw to answer the Council woman who said I changed locations, bullcrap you’re gonna do it at all 3) That they’re gonna do what feels right in their hearts not what’s right for this county? You must remember, we’re down 3 Core Delco hospital since 2001. Haverford Mercy, Delaware County and Springfield Hospitals used to service this community. To add more people to an over populated area with less hospitals would be an absolutely detrimental decision and these people need to be voted out or impeached immediately for the Delco Good.

This doesn’t look anything like a duck. Looks like a councilman saying he likes a name of a park that is representative of the fact that we are a NATION OF IMMIGRANTS. Stop spreading misinformation to get a rise out of the masses. Are you ok?

Unlike the county council I don’t DUCK questions or hide comments. If that’s all you took from their comments or their then you don’t have the comprehension skills to understand that they keep moving the Goal posts. They denied they were putting people in there less than 2 weeks ago. Now they’re saying we may put the mentally ill or something else there…
I’m quite ok and have my mental facilities. Do you?

I viewed your video and then took a walk there myself and went to the end of the “road” to where you come to the fence. So far it seems plausible that this is all pendot activity but this does seem well within the delco park boundary line. I found opening in fence and continued into park and followed dirt path. Came across some dirt bikers who think the park may be doing some work down there at pond to link up some of those county wide hiking trails. If so the park planners would know about that. Spoke to the body shop guys there too – they are aware of the rumors too.
I think there is more of a chance the Don Guanella buildings will be used for illegals than this area at pond.
ps I’m the dude that sat in front of u at council meeting.

I think you’re right but if the tent city plan is true I think it’d bring coordinated by the state and that’s the start of it.
