Illegal Immigrant Housing has been on the minds of many throughout the Country but this rings very true here in Delaware County lately. Talk started heating up 2 weeks ago after rumors started and then 2 articles(here and here) made their rounds. Then again when it came to light Monday(Article Here) that Marple Township Board of Commissioners have motioned to change the zoning of Don Guanella.
This is where things got weird. I emailed Adrienne Marofsky(the Public Relations chair for Delaware County)a bunch of questions concerning the moves by Marple Township and she responded as such:

Adrienne didn’t seem to understand and continued to not understand that I didn’t need her comment on my first article and that I was writing an entirely different article that I wanted her to give comment for…The thing is, my reporting on the Zoning Meeting and the reasons behind it is 100% factual. Marple township is hosting meetings in order to rezone the property and the reason seems to be because of rumors that the county wants to put Illegal Migrants at this location.
That’s when Adrienne took her comments to Facebook.

Adrienne decided not to answer my Facebook response and seemingly deleted her comment on the post or blocked me on Facebook. She then went back to answering(or not answering?) my questions via email:

So there you have it. I flat out asked the county representative if they were willing to prevent other Government organizations or NGO’s from bringing illegals into and housing them in Delco and this was their answer. I asked if they were willing to put forth ordinances to prevent this and this was their answer.
So you have to ask yourself: Who’s Misinformation, Me or the County Council and their mouthpiece Adrienne Marofsky?

Charlie … DELCO IS A SANCTUARY COUNTY! Relax & stop stirring the pot of people’s emotions. We have to get out & vote to make our voices heard.

Chuckles, Can you please ask County Council if they know how many illegals are now in our County. If they know, where are they and how much are they costing We the People of the County?
if they don’t know, why not?
It appears to me, they certainly are not being transparent, as all they are doing is ducking the entire situation and not answering your questions.
I for one, do not want to pay higher County taxes to house illegals. We are paying the Federal Government already for them.
This Democratic Council loves to spend our money, but I’m afraid my well as run dry.

Peg, I already asked that question and their answer was the same as what they sent out to everyone else. Something of the sort of: “I’m spreading paranoia and fear of migrants”

Charles, I certainly don’t fear migrants as long as they come here legally. Hell, my grandparents came here legally and were vetted. Went through medical, needed a sponsor and a place to live as well as a job waiting for them.
My grandfather spent his entire residency in Scranton as a coal miner.
They loved this country, but there is a limit to what this country and county can endure. Not knowing who comes over the boarder and expects the American people to house, educate, feed and clothe them is more then we can sustain.
Let’s be honest, the Democrats are scared that Trump may win the election and they need the illegal vote to stop him. If you don’t think this is the case,
I’m probably wasting my time. Delaware County politicians are compromised and we need a new slate of honest people who will listen to We the People.
End of soapbox!

If this Don Guanella Mental Health facility goes thru I have been given information from a VERY reliable source they are going to put in a SEPTA loop at the site.

The decision to not develop this property on a commercial level was to avoid traffic problems and build a first class park instead. This was the last piece of real estate to accomplish this in the county. I oppose any development for purposes other than providing a first class park for the good of our delco citizens.
