Dear Jeffrey,

Every year you speak and I shake my head in more and more disgust. This year ends it. Please put up or shut up. Championships is how you are judged and your trophy case is frighteningly empty for being the ‘Gold Standard’ of the NFL. You are an average owner. Average because 13 teams have won Super Bowl Championships since you took over and two have been to more Superbowls in losing efforts in that time frame. Puts you tied with six teams for 16th place, with arguably some of those teams being better run franchises. We will just agree that you are average to below average in the 32 team NFL.

My first complaint is how time seems to be an endless commodity to you. Our family members, loyal eagles fans, are dying year after year never seeing their team win the Super Bowl. Fifty years Jeffrey, not just your twenty-two at the helm. You wouldn’t know that though, you were a Patriots fan growing up. We don’t want to keep burying die hard Eagles fans in Jerseys of players that never won the big one. 

My second complaint is your short sightedness. “The expense of the lesson is just time, it’s not money,”. Yes Jeffrey, you still made money. Our money that we still spent. Our expense not yours. Are you giving us, your ticket holders, our money back for the “wasted year”. Are you refunding us the jerseys of the players who spent one short season here? Probably not. 

Jeffrey, I beg you. Stop talking. Put up or shut up. Lombardi trophies are how you are judged so let’s start putting some in the trophy case. Hopefully Howie really is the right man for the job and not just some friend you want to see succeed in the position. I’ll get into that if I’m compelled to write another letter.
