I will always staunchly defend the fact that the fans of the Philadelphia Sports franchises get a bad rap. Half the things that they claim we have done, I am quite literally proud of a ton of these times. Throwing Snowballs at Santa? Ill own it. Booing Michael Irvin: Dude Deserved It. Beating up the Self Appointed Mascot of the Racist Washington Football team? He got what was coming to him. That all being said the following is my power rankings of the ten worst and most embarrassing Philly fan moments of all time.
10. US All – This might be a cop out but let us own the fact that we all have been embarrassing at one point or another. Did we really need to boo Ryan Howard relentlessly? Do we need to call WIP and spout off incoherently? Is being all mopey the week after a Birds loss really necessary? I think everyone can get my point.
9. Phillies Tazer Kid – Ahh the Early 2000s. One of the most beautiful times of the internet and Phillies Baseball. First we had “Don’t Taze Me Bro” and he was followed up immediately by our own idiot. I was there that night rooting for the tazing. Just Spectacular but yes very embarrassing.
8. Dude Who Punched A Horse – National media would lead you to believe that the thing we should be embarrassed by from the Super Bowl run is the greased poles. Wrong. The only embarrassing moment is when this moron(All morons shall remain nameless) punched a police horse.
7. “Gritty Punched My Son” Dad – Quickly moving up this list is the guy who feels the Flyers need to throw a parade in his son’s honor. Hate to break it to you fella, Flyer’s havent thrown a parade in 45 years and they arent throwing one anytime soon.
6. The Billboarders – If you really think we hurt the feelings of 6 Time Superbowl Champions with a grotesque Billboard outside of their stadium, I have some snake oil to sell you.
5. Ed Snider Bracelet Throwers – There was one idiot bragging about this and his mma career on twitter. Meanwhile no one should have done that. No matter how upset you were with the current team you disrespected the City, the Franchise and most importantly the man who died who brought this franchise to this city. It was wrong.
4. The Dirty Thirty – These idiots, led by a loud mouth radio host, went to New York and booed the QB who brought us the most victories and NFC East Titles. Whether or not McNabb should have gotten over it, it was a Real Bad look.
3. Flare Guy – If my memory serves me right, Back in 1997 some idiot shot a flare off during the Eagles 49ers game. Jesus man what an idiot.
2. Mike Scott Fighters – These guys allegedly lobbed racist comments at Mike Scott then tried fighting an NBA player. How did that work out for them?
1. Idiot who threw up on 9 Year Old Girl – Yes this is the most boneheaded and disgusting thing that has ever happened at a Philly Sporting event.
