As Chip Kelly said “the most important bowl besides the Super Bowl is the Wing Bowl” here in Philadelphia, and one Eagle has a guaranteed ticket to at least one of them. Bennie Logan spoke to Josh Innes on 94 WIP on Wednesday, and at first didn’t even have a clue as to what Wing Bowl was asking “what you eat a bunch of wings or something?”. Adding that he would “definitely participate in it just to eat something” and of course who wouldn’t enjoy the “free meal”, as he put it.

Innes called Philly sports staple Angelo Cataldi who was ecstatic and praised the player Bennie Logan has become.

Given the timing of Wing Bowl, Bennie would not be able to participate if the Eagles are able to make a run to the Super Bowl. Despite the entertainment that would surely come with Logan eating wings like they’re running backs, let’s hope he is unable to make his guest appearance and is busy preparing for the biggest game this city has been apart of since 2009.

It is not unprecedented for Eagles’ players to make appearances. Jason Kelce participated in Wing Bowl 22 and ate 65 wings. So at least for now if the Eagles aren’t in the Super Bowl, we have Bennie Logan in Wing Bowl 24 to look forward to.
